  • BSNL has a new Rs 106 recharge pack in India in its portfolio.
  • The plan offers validity of 84 days, 3GB of data, and free calling.

With the prepaid tariff hike late last year, BSNL benefited a lot, with public sentiment leaning towards the state-run operator and over a million new subscribers on its network. In fact, it has given the operator a push of sorts, with BSNL finally taking steps towards a pan-India 4G network that will reportedly launch this year! While we wait for that to materialise, BSNL is offering a terrific Rs 106 recharge plan that offers many benefits at a relatively low price. With 84-day validity, 3GB of data, and free calling, this BSNL recharge pack will give other telecom companies a run for their money. With its affordable and value for money recharge plans, BSNL aims to compete with other telecom companies like Reliance Jio, Airtel, and Vodafone Idea. So without any further ado, let’s have a look at what the Rs 106 BSNL recharge has in store for us.

Rs 106 BSNL recharge plan: data and benefits

The Rs 106 BSNL recharge plan offers 3GB of data with a validity of 84 days. To be clear, this is 3GB data in total, and not per day. The plan also offers 100 minutes of free calling to any carrier, including both local or STD. Additionally, the plan also offers BSNL PRBT, which is a personal ring-back tune that allows users to set a song of their desire as a caller tune. However, the PRBT series is valid for 60 days only, not the entire 84 days. Unfortunately, the plan does not offer any kind of free SMS benefits.

If you are in the market for a recharge that offers a more extended validity plan with lesser data and calling, BSNL Rs 106 plan is a good option for you.

BSNL gained 1 million new subscribers

BSNL recently gained over 1 million new customers in December 2021 because of the value-for-money recharge plans it has, just like the one we discussed above. As a result, Reliance Jio lost 12.9 million subscribers in December 2021. Furthermore, Vodafone Idea also lost 1.9 million subscribers in the same month, as many users switched to BSNL service.

Separately, BSNL also plans to launch its 4G service in India on Independence day 2022. Furthermore, the company also aims to deploy 1 lakh telecom towers across India, of which 40,000 telecom towers are in Bihar alone.
