Rs 2,399 BSNL prepaid plan, which was revised back in August to offer 425 days validity instead of 365 days, could end soon. According to a report by India Today, the revision was promotional in nature and will only be available until December 31st. This means that you have only 12 more days to avail this scheme. Starting 2022, the validity of the Rs 2,399 prepaid pack will most likely be revised to 365 days. For those unaware, you can stack up the recharge plan and reap its benefits later. This works even if you have an active recharge plan on your BSNL mobile number.
The Rs 2,399 plan can be bought online or at a BSNL authorised outlet as well. It can also be triggered by dialing USSD code *444*2399# from a phone. Users must have a minimum amount of Rs 2399 in their prepaid account. Users may also obtain the recharge by texting PLAN BSNL2399 to 123 from their BSNL SIM card.

In addition to the long validity, the prepaid pack from state-owned telco BSNL offers unlimited internet (capped at 3GB per day) along with a quota of 100 SMS a day, free voice calls, and complimentary subscription to BSNL Tunes and Eros Now content. This makes the BSNL Rs 2,399 plan arguably the best long-term plan out there.
After the recent price hike from all private leading telecom operators like Jio, Airtel, and Vodafone Idea (Vi, telecom users would have like to continue with a much more beneficial plan like the one provided by BSNL currently in the form of Rs 2,399 plan, which as we mentioned earlier is the only long term plan with more than 365 days validity. The news of it being discontinued though after this year, may upset a handful of BSNL fans.
Other longterm BSNL plans
When it comes to a prepaid plan with long-term validities, BSNL is quite liberal. The telco offers a Rs 1,499 yearly package that includes 24GB of yearly data, free outgoing calls, and 100 SMS per day with a full year of validity. The next plan from the telco is for Rs 1,999 and includes 500GB of normal data and 100GB of additional data, after which the speed drops to 80 Kbps. It also allows you to make genuinely limitless phone calls to any network, with no minutes per call restrictions. The package also includes 100 SMS per day to any network with a 365-day subscription to the Eros Now entertainment service.
