EV manufacturer BYD has launched the BYD Atto 3 compact EV SUV in India for a price tag of Rs 33.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The Chinese automaker had already unveiled the car in the Indian market back in October and the company has been accepting orders for a token amount of Rs 50,000 since. The EV will compete with the MG ZS EV and the Hyundai Kona EV in India. However, it could also face some rivalry from smaller but more value-for-money offerings such as the Tata Nexon EV MAX and the upcoming Mahindra XUV400.
