CENTRiC, a home-bred handset maker made its debut last year with theCENTRiC G1. Its first offering struck a good balance between price and performance, which has been the mantra of the brand so far with all of its launches. Now continuing with the same philosophy,the company has expanded its portfolio with the launch of the L3. The brand has positioned the L3 for the youth and its pretty evident as soon as you pick up the device. While the phone has a polycarbonate make,its metallic finish, curved edges, and 2.5D glass on the front adds to its look. At 8.6mm and with subtle curves on the back panel, the smartphone not only feels great to hold but is also quite ergonomic. It’s offered in attractive hues of Quartz Grey and Raising Black. CENTRiC has moved the fingerprint scanner to the front and claims it to be one of the fastest with a response time of just 0.12 seconds, and we found it to be able to live up to its claim.

Speaking of the front, the CENTRiC L3 has been equipped with a 5-inch display offering HD resolution on an IPS Oncell panel. Not only does the screen offers an immersive viewing experience without stressing your eyes but also offers great legibility in most lighting conditions. Couple that with stereo speakers present on the lower edge of the device, you have got yourself a multimedia device on the go.

For imaging, the phone comes with a 13-megapixel primary camera on the rear panel with LED flash. The camera module has been equipped with autofocus and faster shutter speed so that you dont miss a moment to capture. As for the selfies, there is a 5-megapixel unit on the front.

On to the performance of the device, the CENTRiC L3 has a 64-bit 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737 processor mated to 2GB RAM and MALI T720MP GPU. The combination ensures a good performance and also has the ability to run multiple apps simultaneously. Moreover, the handset gets 16GB of onboard storage, which can be further expanded up to 256GB using a microSD card. It runs the Android 7.0 Nougat in near stock iteration, which further adds to the performance. For connectivity, the dual-SIM handsetfeatures 4G, VoLTE and ViLTE along with the support for usual options like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS.

So, the CENTRiC L3 appears to be pretty loaded when it comes to specs but all that would be a moot point if its battery would not last long. However that’s not the case as you can rely on its rather large 3,050mAh battery, that will easily see you through a whole day on the moderate usage. In fact, the brand promises a standby time of up to 8 days which is nothing short of impressive. In the software department, the phone ships with Android 7.0 Nougat, and comes with the useful features available in the Google’s OS such as multi-window and Doze mode.

And the best is yet to come. For all its specs and attractive looks, CENTRiC has priced the L3 at Rs 6,749, which makes it extremely competitive. Moreover, the extensive service network of the brand in India and offline availability of the device also works out in the favour of the new launch.
