Citroen has finally announced the Citroen eC3 EV prices in India, with the electric hatchback starting at an introductory price of Rs 11.50 lakh (ex-showroom). The only other electric hatchback, the Tata Tiago EV, which starts at Rs 8.69 lakh (ex-showroom), is still cheaper than the Citroen eC3 despite the former receiving a price hike recently.

Last month the French carmaker started taking bookings for the Citroen eC3 electric hatchback across its dealerships. The Citroen eC3 gets a 29.2kWh battery pack, two driving modes, an ARAI-claimed range of 320km and a 10.2-inch touchscreen.

Citroen eC3 price in India, availability 

The Citroen eC3 will be available in two variants, Live and Feel. The Live or the base variant starts at Rs 11.50 lakh (ex-showroom). The Feel with slightly more features retails for Rs 12.13 lakh (ex-showroom). This Feel variant can also be paired with a Vibe Pack for added features and a Feel variant with the Vibe Pack and a dual-tone paint scheme which cost Rs 12.18 lakh (ex-showroom) and Rs 12.43 lakh (ex-showroom) respectively. 

The Citroen eC3 can be had in 13 colour options wherein four are mono-tone colours that include Polar White, Zesty Orange, Platinum Grey and Steel Grey. The other nine dual-tone colour options get combinations of the four colours. The Citroen eC3 also gets four customisation packs and two interior trim colour options. Citroen will also offer a seven-year or 1,40,000 kilometres warranty on the battery pack and a three-year or 1,25,000 kilometres warranty on the vehicle as standard. 

The above prices are likely to change as these are the introductory prices. 

Citroen eC3 specifications

The Citroen eC3 gets an electric motor with a 57hp peak power and 143Nm of peak torque. This is paired to a 29.2kWh battery pack and can do a sprint from zero to 60 kph in a claimed 6.8 seconds and then go up to a top speed of 107kmph. The Citroen eC3 also returns an ARAI-certified range of 320km. It gets two driving modes, Eco and Standard, and also gets a fixed level of regenerative braking.

The battery pack can be juiced up from 10 to 80 percent in a claimed 57 minutes via a DC fast charger. And the battery takes about 10 hours to charge up fully via a home charger. It gets features like a 10.2-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a four-speaker audio system, connected car tech and dual airbags and ABS with EBD.
