“Dell’s new XPS series laptops offer high-resolution displays and latest-gen Intel Core processors”
At the ongoing CES 2015, Dell has refreshed its XPS range of laptops with two new models – the XPS 13 and XPS 15. The company is touting the new XPS 13 as the world’s smallest 13-inch laptop with a virtually borderless infinity display. It comes with an edge-to-edge 13.3-inch screen with bezels of 5.2mm. The Dell XPS 15 on the other hand, features a 15.6-inch UltraSharp 4K Ultra HD (3,840 x 2,160) display, which as per the vendor, is the highest resolution available on a 15-inch laptop at the moment.
The Dell XPS 13 is offered in 13.3-inch FHD and 13.3-inch UltraSharp QHD+ resolution display models. It is powered by up to fifth-gen Intel Core i7 processors, coupled with up to 8GB of RAM, and Intel HD Graphics 5500. The notebook comes with up to 512MB of solid state drive storage, stereo speakers with Waves MaxxAudio Pro, HD webcam with dual array microphones, Windows 8.1/Windows 7, Miracast support, Bluetooth 4.0, and dual-band Wi-Fi.
The Dell XPS 15 comes in three different touchscreen models – 15.6-inch FHD, 15.6-inch UltraSharp QHD+, and 15.6-inch UltraSharp 4K Ultra HD. It can be configured with up to fourth-gen Intel Core i7 processors, up to 16GB of RAM, and Intel HD 4400 and NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M GPU graphics choices. The Windows 8.1 machine comes with dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, Intel Wireless Display 3.0, and NFC connectivity options.
The Dell XPS 13 has been released with immediate availability in the US at a starting price of $800. The XPS 15 with 4K Ultra HD display will be released soon, starting at $2,349.
