The ASUS ROG Phone 9 series is launching on November 19th. The new gaming phone lineup is expected to include two models: ASUS ROG Phone 9 and ROG Phone 9 Pro. ASUS has already confirmed the ROG Phone 9 series will be powered by the new Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. At the Snapdragon Summit, ASUS showed off the ROG Phone 9, and now 91mobiles brings exclusive renders and specifications of the ROG Phone 9 Pro.
ASUS ROG Phone 9 Pro design, accessories
- The ASUS ROG Phone 9 Pro has the same design as the vanilla ROG Phone 9, according to renders shared with 91mobiles by industry insiders.
- It has a punch-hole display up front with the same small rear camera island on the top-left corner like the ROG Phone 8. This houses a triple-camera setup with the LED flash and the ROG branding on the side.
- In the images below, you’ll also see the ROG Phone 9 Pro with the AeroActive Cooler X, which is a dock that attaches to the back of the phone. This accessory keeps the phone cool while gaming and comes with ports for charging the device.
- It’s not clear though if this is the same AeroActive Cooler X or an upgraded version for the ROG Phone 9 series.
- The ROG Phone 9 Pro can also be seen with a protective case with elevated corners to keep the phone safe even if it falls.
The ROG Phone 9 Pro is spotted in Phantom Black colour with a textured back panel. Overall, the phone maintains a subtle yet cool design and it isn’t flashy like the older ROG models. The ASUS ROG Phone 9 series is expected to launch in White colour as well according to the launch teaser.
ASUS ROG Phone 9 Pro specifications
The ASUS ROG Phone 9 specifications were also revealed and here’s what you can expect.
- Display: The ASUS ROG Phone 9 features a 6.78-inch FHD+ (2400×1080 pixels) SAMSUNG Flexible AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 2,500 nits peak brightness, HDR10 support, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection.
- RAM and storage: The smartphone will come with 24GB LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB UFS4.0 storage.
- Cameras: The ROG Phone 9 has a 50MP Sony Lytia 700 primary camera, a 13MP ultra-wide camera, and a 32MP telephoto camera with f/2.4 aperture, OIS, and 3X optical zoom. For selfies, the smartphone has a 32MP front camera.
- Software: On the software front, the ROG Phone 9 runs Android 15 with ROG UI layered on top.
- Battery, charging: It packs a 5,800mAh battery with 65W fast charging support.
- Other features: The ROG Phone 9 also comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack, dual stereo speakers, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.3, and an in-display fingerprint sensor.
- The ROG Phone 9 will come with a Clear Case, Aero Case, and the AeroActive Cooler X Pro in the box.
ASUS has also teased AI features for the ROG Phone 9 series suggesting it might come with gaming-related AI onboard.
