CMF Phone (1): what we know so far

The CMF Phone (1) is already confirmed to launch soon and there’s a dedicated microsite on Flipkart, which reveals the online availability. This will be the first phone to debut under Nothing’s CMF brand, which currently has only audio products and a GaN charger.

The CMF Phone (1) is tipped to arrive with the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 SoC, which is a successor to the Dimensity 7200 chipset. The handset is believed to come with an option to replace the plastic back panel and there will be multiple colour options to choose from. The official teaser image showed a rotating circular ring and the back panel appears to have a leather back finish.

Leaks claim the CMF Phone (1) might sport a 6.67-inch FHD+ OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. In comparison, the Phone (2a) offers a 6.7-inch panel. The first CMF phone could pack a 50MP primary camera and a secondary camera. We might get a 16MP shooter for selfies and video chats.

The Dimensity 7300 SoC could be paired with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage and there will be a microSD card slot for storage expansion. The CMF Phone (1) could house a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support compared to 45W on the Nothing Phone (2a). The phone is likely to boot Android 14-based Nothing OS custom skin out of the box.
