Lava launched the Agni 2 smartphone in India earlier this year in May. It’s a mid-range smartphone with a 50MP quad camera setup, a curved display, and 5G support. We’ve now learnt that Lava is planning to launch another phone in the same series, the Lava Agni 2S.
Lava Agni 2S launching soon
Lava is planning to launch the Agni 2S smartphone in the coming weeks, according to information shared by tipster Yogesh Brar. It will be similar to the Lava Agni 2 but with a different processor. So we can expect a similar set of specifications like the Lava Agni 2. The Lava Agni 2S is slated to launch this month so we should start seeing more about the phone soon.
We don’t have much details about the upcoming Lava phone yet. But since it will be similar to the Lava Agni 2, it will most likely fall around the same price segment, and offer specifications close to it. The Lava Agni 2 is priced at Rs 21,999 for the single variant with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. As for the specs, here’s a recap of the Lava Agni 2.
Lava Agni 2 specifications
- Display: Lava Agni 2 features a 6.78-inch Full HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
- Processor: It’s powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7050 processor. The Lava Agni 2S is said to feature a different chipset.
- Cameras: With the Lava Agni 2, you get a quad-camera setup featuring a 50MP primary camera, an 8MP ultrawide angle lens, a 2MP macro sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies, there’s a 16MP front camera.
- RAM and storage: The smartphone packs 8GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage. It also supports virtual RAM of up to 16GB.
- Software: On the software front, the Lava Agni 2 runs Android 13, and it’s confirmed to get Android 14 and 15 with quarterly security updates for three years.
- Battery, charging: It packs a 4,700mAh battery with 66W fast charging support.
- Colour options: The Lava Agni 2 comes in a single Virdian colour with a glass back.
