There is a dedicated microsite on the OnePlus website, which confirms the product is under the testing phase currently, with the launch in February and mass production in March. While the keyboard will launch in India, there are chances that OnePlus might take it to global markets as well.

The OnePlus Keyboard will have a white colour design, bringing back the old nostalgia. We can see the Function, backspace, Del, page up and page down keys and a Red coloured button, which could be the power key. The OnePlus website claims the keyboard will have a ‘Double gasket-mounted design’ and custom-made layout and profile.

OnePlus says the gasket design ensures a precisely calibrated yet softer actuation paired with a satisfying sound. While the keyboard is not silent, the audible sound is said to be “dampened while retaining the superior typing experience.”

The OnePlus keyboard is designed to work on both Mac and Windows. The layout matches both operating systems and is even compatible with Linux, thereby making it the effortless all-in-one solution for all keyboard needs. The keyboard fully supports advanced, customisable features, including hot-swappable switches and flexible, open-source firmware. The hot-swappable functionality allows for fast and smooth changes of switches. The keyboard supports RGB lighting as well.
