The Vivo V40 series India launch is expected to take place next month. It was reported that the Vivo V40 and V40 Pro will launch in India next month. Vivo has yet to reveal anything official but 91mobiles has received information on the upcoming phones. The Vivo V40 has already launched in Europe and it looks like the Indian variant will come with the same specs.
Vivo V40 series key details revealed
- The Vivo V40 series will launch in India as the slimmest phone with a 5,500mAh battery in the segment, according to information revealed by industry sources.
- The Vivo V40 series will come with an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. This confirms the Vivo V40 Indian variant will have the same specs as the one in Europe.
- Although not revealed, the Vivo V40 series is mentioned suggesting the Pro variant will also come with the same battery and IP rating. However, it’s a Pro model so we can expect some upgrades over the vanilla V40.
- In India, the Vivo V40 series will launch in Ganges Blue, Lotus Purple, and Titanium Grey colours. The Ganges Blue seems to be a new addition to the lineup.
- In addition to an IP68 rating, the Vivo V40 series will have a cushioning structure for durability. It will also feature a 3D curved display and house a new Infinity Eye Camera module.

Vivo V40 series India launch
The Vivo V40 and V40 Pro are reportedly launching in India in August. We recently spotted the Vivo V40 Pro on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification website. This also suggests an imminent India launch for the Vivo V40 series. The V40 Pro has yet to make its debut as only the V40 and V40 Lite launched in Europe. It could be that Vivo might launch the vanilla V40 as the Pro model and the Lite version as the Pro model in India.
