The physical discs of FIFA 23 have become more expensive in India for console players. According to gaming industry insider Rishi Alwani, EA and its India distributor E-xpress have hiked these prices. Meanwhile, the prices of the PC version, as well as digital versions of FIFA 23 for consoles, remain the same. Players who managed to grab FIFA 23 physical discs before the new prices went live still managed to get them a bit cheaper. However, the increased prices have now been updated on all major websites.
So. EA and it’s India distributor E-xpress have hiked the price of FIFA 23.— 0xSkeptic (@RishiAlwani) September 3, 2022
PS5 and Xbox Series X – Rs. 4799 (previously Rs. 4499)
PS4 and Xbox One – Rs. 4299 (previously Rs. 3999)#FIFA23 #india #ps5 #xboxseriesx
Rishi Alwani says that the FIFA 23 console discs price hike is “likely due to foreign currency fluctuations.” The Standard Edition of FIFA 23 now costs Rs 4,799 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, and Rs 4,299 for PS4 and Xbox One. These prices have already been listed on retailers like Games The Shop and Amazon. However, the digital versions of this game are priced at Rs 4,499 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, and Rs 3,999 for PS4 and Xbox One. EA hasn’t offered an official statement about the FIFA 23 price hike in India yet.
Many console players prefer to buy physical discs over digital copies to save on storage space. As AAA game sizes continue to increase, players find it difficult to manage space on their consoles without buying an external SSD on PS5 and Xbox Series X. However, not all players would prefer buying external storage, especially on last-gen consoles.
FIFA 23 features multiple visual enhancements and gameplay improvements over its predecessor. On current-gen consoles and PC, the game will deliver better animations and more realistic player responses, thanks to Hypermotion 2 tech. Besides these, FIFA 23 will be the first game in the franchise to have women’s football clubs. FIFA 23 is set to launch on September 30th.
