With the newly announced feature, users now have the ability to add links to their profile through the mobile app. They can edit the links to include titles and rearrange the order in which they are displayed.

In case you have added multiple links, visitors to your profile will need to click on a message that says “[Your first link] and 1 other” to view the list of links. If you have multiple links to showcase on your Instagram profile or are currently utilising a “Link in bio” service, users will need an additional click to access your links regardless.

Here’s how to put a link in an Instagram bio

  • To access your profile, simply tap on your profile picture located at the bottom right corner.
  • To edit your profile, tap on the “Edit profile” button located at the top of your screen.
  • Then, tap on the section labelled “Bio” to make changes.
  • Write a brief biography about yourself and include the URL to your website.
  • Click on the Save button.

Meanwhile, the company has also recently launched Broadcast Channels, which is a messaging tool for creators to communicate with their followers on a larger scale. It is a public, one-to-many platform.

With this, creators will be able to keep their followers informed. They have the option to share their latest updates and behind-the-scenes moments using text, photos, video, and voice notes. Additionally, they can create polls to gather fan feedback. Creators have the ability to send messages, whereas followers are limited to reacting to content and participating in polls.
