“Flipkart’s first smartphone will feature a premium design, a full HD display and a fast charging battery”
Earlier this year, Flipkart launched its private brand called Billion. Under the brand, the company sells various home appliances like mixers, juicers, extension cords, irons and more. Now, the e-commerce giant is all set to launch its first smartphone under the new brand. According to a teaser, the e-tailer’s first smartphone will be called the Billion Capture+, and will be unveiled on November 15th. The phone will go on sale the very same day.
A dedicated page on Flipkart for Billion Capture+ has revealed a few details about the phone’s features. The device will come with a premium metal unibody design with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. The phone will flaunt a dual camera setup at the rear – one monochrome sensor and one RGB, aided by a dual-tone LED flash. The device’s camera app will be loaded with modes like Super Night, Bokeh and Depth-of-Field.
As for the other features, the teaser page mentions that the Billion Capture+ will offer “hours of battery with minutes of charging”, which suggests that the phone could sport fast charging tech. The company has confirmed that the device will come with a full HD display, and boot a stock version of Android Nougat out of the box. Lastly, the teaser reveals that the phone will come bundled with unlimited cloud storage.
The dedicated page for the Billion Capture+ also suggests that the company will bundle a bunch of launch offers with the device. The e-tailer is also touting the after sales services of the Billion brand. The page mentions that Billion has 130 service centres across 125 cities across the country. We will have more details on the features, pricing and availability of the phone in a matter of days, so stay tuned to 91mobiles for updates.
