Fujifilm has launched its latest flagship mirrorless camera in the GFX series, which features a 102-megapixel sensor. The all new Fujifilm GFX 100 is a medium-format mirrorless camera with some impressive specifications. The camera features a full-frame design and offers a vertical grip. It comes with in-body image stabilisation and is also much faster than the other cameras in the GFX series.

The Fujifilm GFX 100 has the highest resolution of any medium-format or mirrorless camera in the world. It features a backside illuminated sensor, which will allow for high ISO settings in low-light scenarios. The base ISO starts at 100 and tops out at 12,800, and that’s before boost. It can take 16-bit RAW images thanks to the X-Processor 4 chipset from the company.

The camera comes with a full-coverage phase-detect autofocus with features such as subject and face/ eye tracking. It can shoot up to 210 percent faster than the GFX 50R thanks to the new autofocus system. As mentioned earlier, the camera also comes with in-body stabilisation that will provide extra 5.5 stops of reduction in shake. The camera can record 4K videos in 10-bit at 30fps with a 4:2:2 ratio. This should provide great depth-of-field while recording videos.

Apart from that, the camera comes with a tilting LCD touch display at the back and a 5.76 million dot OLED electronic viewfinder. The camera features weather resistance so you can use it well in the outdoors. It supports up to two UHS-TT cards and can also take dual batteries. This will allow the camera to shoot up to 800 shots in one go. The company has also made changes to the top plate of the camera. It is now more flexible and can be used for various modes of shooting.

In terms of software, the standard Fujifilm filters are available on the camera and there’s a new Smooth Skin filter to improve portrait shots. The Fujifilm GFX100 will go on sale starting June 27th and is priced at $9,999.95. And that’s without the lens! You can read more about the camera at the source link.
