“The Galaxy A7 (2018) now retails at a starting price of Rs 21,990 both in offline stores and major e-commerce sites”
Samsung has dropped the prices of its smartphones across mid-range to budget category. As per 91mobiles’ retail sources, the recently launched Galaxy A7 (2018) with triple-rear cameras has received a price cut Rs 3,000 on its top model with 6GB + 128GB configuration. That means, it’ll retail for Rs 25,990 instead of Rs 28,990. The Galaxy A7 (review) base model with 4GB + 64GB configuration, on the other hand, now costs Rs 21,990 instead of Rs 23,990.
Moving on, the prices of Galaxy J8, Galaxy J6+, Galaxy J6, Galaxy J4+ and budget-centric Galaxy J2 Core have also been slashed. The affordable mid-range Galaxy J8 – announced in India in July for Rs 18,990 – is now available for Rs 15,990. The Galaxy J6+ can now be purchased for Rs 14,990 instead of Rs 15,990, while the Galaxy J6 3GB and 4GB RAM variants prices have been dropped to Rs 11,490 and Rs 12,990 respectively. The handset was originally launched for a starting price of Rs 13,990. Lastly, the Galaxy J4+ and Galaxy J2 Core with up to Rs 1,000 price cut will set you back to Rs 9,990 and Rs 5,990 accordingly.
The new prices are effective on all offline retail outlets across the country. While the Samsung online store still lists the phones at the official prices, major e-commerce sites such as Flipkart, Amazon India, and Paytm are selling them at the discounted prices.
Samsung hasn’t lined up any new product launch until next year. Its Galaxy S10 series has become among the most anticipated smartphones of 2019. If leaks and rumours are anything to go by, the chaebol has already started the production of the devices, which are expected to launch on February 20th. The next-gen Galaxy S series is rumoured to come in four models allegedly called the Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10 Lite, Galaxy S10 Plus, and a 5G model whose name is unknown at the moment. The early speculations are the devices could come with an AMOLED Infinity O display, ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, and Exynos 9820/ Snapdragon 855 SoC ticking at its core.
