Soon after launching the A1 (review) smartphone, Chinese smartphone manufacturer Gionee has launched an upgraded version of the device dubbed the A1 Plus (first impressions). The USP of the device (unboxing) is its massive battery, a powerful front camera and dual cameras at the rear.
Coming to the specs of the device, the A1 Plus ships with a 6-inch full HD IPS display and is powered by a MediaTek Helio P25 octa-core processor clocked at 2.6GHz. The handset gets 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage which can be further expanded up to 256GB via a microSD card. In the camera department, the smartphone comes equipped with a dual-camera setup at the back comprising of a 13MP sensor and a 5MP sensor. For selfies, buyers will be looking into a 20MP camera which comes with a dedicated flash module for better performance in low light scenarios. There is a fingerprint sensor present as well, which the company claims is the ”fastest in the business” and will be able to unlock the A1 Plus in just 0.2 seconds. Fuelled by a 4,550mAh battery, the handset runs a custom skin of Amigo 4 on top of Android 7.0 Nougat.
As for the pricing, buyers will have to shell out Rs 26,999 for the smartphone which will be available across major retail stores starting July 26th. The handset also comes with a two-year extended warranty, which is an added bonus.
