God of War Ragnarok is scheduled to launch on November 9th, and PlayStation has already started taking pre-orders for the game. However, developer Santa Monica Studio hasn’t really revealed the technical specs of God of War Ragnarok yet. The game is expected to feature 4K gameplay at 30fps or 60fps on the PS5 as well as take advantage of the DualSense controller’s adaptive triggers and haptic feedback. According to a report from MySmartPrice, a UK retailer called ShopTo has revealed the technical specs for the much-awaited game.

ShopTo’s listing suggests that God of War Ragnarok will come with two modes, one which supports native 4K gameplay at 30fps and the other one supports dynamically upscaled 4K gameplay at 60fps. This means that the game may not have a high refresh rate gameplay option at launch. However, it should be noted that neither Sony nor Santa Monica Studio have confirmed these details. Sony is expected to offer an in-depth look at God of War Ragnarok in an upcoming State of Play event.

It won’t be surprising to see God of War Ragnarok launching without a high refresh rate performance mode. Horizon Forbidden West had 4K 30fps and 1800p 60fps gameplay modes at launch. However, the developer recently introduced 120Hz and VRR support earlier this month via an update. Santa Monica Studio may be planning a similar approach for God of War Ragnarok, with more gameplay modes coming in the future. Besides these, God of War Ragnarok will support adaptive triggers, haptic feedback, and spatial audio on the PS5 as well as have super-fast load times. God of War Ragnarok pre-orders recently went live in India. You can pre-order the Launch Edition of God of War Ragnarok for now, with Collector’s Edition and Jotnar Edition hopefully coming soon.
