Google to reportedly launch two HTC-made Nexus smartphones this year

Last year, Google for the first time launched two Nexus range smartphones – the LG-made Nexus 5X and the Huawei-developed Nexus 6P. Now it appears that the company will be repeating the same this year with two HTC-made Nexus devices. According to Twitter tipster LIabTooFeR, the new HTC-made Nexus phones are in the works under the codename T50 and T55.

To compare, the last year’s Nexus 5X has a 5.2-inch screen panel, while the Nexus 6P offers a bigger 5.7-inch display. There’s no word on the other specifications of the upcoming Nexus smartphones at the moment.

HTC is no stranger to Nexus devices. The Taiwanese brand launched the Nexus 9 tablet in partnership with Google. The two brands partnered to launch the first ever Nexus device, the Nexus One in January 2010. We expect more details on the upcoming HTC-made Nexus phones at Google I/O, which is scheduled for May 18th this year, so stay tuned.
