Google Pixel 10 series leaks and rumour roundup: release date, price, specifications, and more

Google Pixel 10 series will mark the 10th anniversary of the Pixel lineup, and leaks and rumours suggest Google could introduce significant upgrades. The number of phones could remain the same as the predecessor, though, i.e., a standard Pixel 10, a Pixel 10 Pro, a Pixel 10 Pro XL, and a Pixel 10 Pro Fold. Here we have made a roundup of everything we know about these phones. Let’s begin with:

Google Pixel 10 series release date (expected)

Google used to schedule the Pixel announcement in September. However, it expedited the event to August last year. So, the Pixel 10 series could launch in August or September 2025

Google Pixel 10 series price, availability (expected)

  • Google Pixel 9 was launched in India for Rs 79,999 while the Pixel 8 started at Rs 75,999. Google could either price the Pixel 10 similar to the Pixel 9 or at a Rs 4,000 difference, meaning around Rs 83,999
  • The Pixel 8 Pro launched in India at about Rs 1,06,999 and the Pixel 9 Pro at approximately. Rs 1,09,999. So, perhaps, the Pixel 10 Pro could be priced at about Rs 1,12,999.
  • Similarly, considering the predecessor’s pricing trends, the Pixel 10 Pro XL could be priced around Rs 1,27,999, while the Pixel 10 Pro Fold might cost approximately Rs 1,75,999.
  • We suppose the Pixel 10 series could be available through Flipkart and Google’s offline partner stores.

Google Pixel 10 series specifications (expected)

Model numbers, codenames

The Pixel 10 could be codenamedFrankel,” the Pixel 10 Pro could be “Blazer,” the Pixel 10 Pro XL could be “Mustang,” and the Pixel 10 Pro Fold could be “Rango.”

As per the GSMA listing, the Pixel 10 comes with model numbers GLBW0 and GL066, while the Pixel 10 Pro carries G4QUR and GN4F5. The Pixel 10 Pro XL is identified as GUL82, and the Pixel 10 Pro Fold is tagged as GU0NP.

Display

Similar to their predecessors, Google Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro could sport a 6.3-inch panel, and Pixel 10 Pro XL could flaunt a bigger 6.8-inch screen. These could be AMOLED Actua displays with HDR10+, 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and high brightness support. The Pixel 9 sports 2,700 nits peak brightness.

Processor

Under the hood, the Pixel 10 series may house the Tensor G5 chipset (with codename Laguna). Unlike previous Tensor chips, this one could be made by TSMC using a 3nm N3E process node. The chip may consist of one Arm Cortex-X4 prime core with 3.4GHz clock speed, five Arm Cortex-A725 performance cores with 2.86GHz clock speed and two Cortex-A520 efficiency cores at 2.44GHz frequency. As per early Geekbench listing, the chip scored 1,323 points in the single-core test and 4,004 points in the multi-core test.

Tensor G5

The performance could be complemented by up to 16GB of RAM.

The SoC is also rumoured to consist of an Imagination 2-core IMG DXT GPU with a 1,100 MHz clock speed, with ray-tracing support in games and GPU virtualisation and an upgraded NPU for improved AI performance.

Cameras

As per the leaked renders, the Pixel 10 could have three cameras on the back. This is new since the Pixel 9 only had a 50MP main camera plus a 48MP ultrawide snapper. The third rear camera on the Pixel 10 could be an 11MP 1/1.3″ Samsung 3J1 sensor with a telephoto zoom lens. We don’t expect the zooming capability to be significant.

On the video front, you can expect 4K 60FPS HDR recordings.

Software and AI

The Pixel 10 lineup could boot Android 16 and assure 7 years of OS updates and security patches. You could also get new features as part of Pixel Drops during this period.

The software experience could be close to stock Android with exclusive features and some interface elements as part of the Pixel UI. You could also get rumoured Gemini AI features like Video Generative ML (for post-capture enhancements to the videos in the Photos app, Speak-to-Tweak, Sketch-to-Image, and Magic Mirror. There is a rumour of a new on-device AI assistant on the device called Pixel Sense, which will have deeper access to the Google suite of apps.

Google Pixel 10 series design (expected)

The Pixel 10 series looks mostly comparable to the Pixel 9 lineup with flat edges, a punch-hole front camera cutout, and a protruding oblong-shaped rear camera island.

But if you look closer, the standard Pixel 10 appears to have a triple rear camera setup, with a third periscope lens.

On the front, besides the front camera indent, the screen seems to have very slim and symmetrical bezels.

And on the sides, the standard variant seems to have a matte frame, and the Pro models seem to have a glossy frame.

The standard Pixel 10 could be a tad thicker at 8.6mm compared to the 8.5mm Pixel 9.

As per the leaked renders, there aren’t major differences in the designs of Pixel 10 Pro/ Pro XL and Pixel 10 Pro Fold compared to their predecessors.

And that’s all we know for now. However, with months to go before the launch, more details could emerge, and some of these leaks and rumors may change. So, take the aforementioned details with a grain of salt. We shall keep you updated!
