Google Pixel 6a made a striking entry at the Mountain View giant’s I/O 2022 developers conference. Unlike the Google Pixel 6 series, Google actually confirmed the handset will launch in India but the exact timeline wasn’t shared back then. However, in the last couple of days, we’ve started hearing rumours and reports about the handset’s price and how the units are silently been imported to the country. Now, a Twitter user Sahik Karoul on Twitter claims the Pixel 6a will launch in India on July 21st i.e tomorrow. There are chances the brand might go for a soft launch. We should know more details in the next few hours.

Google Pixel 6a price in India (expected)

According to the tipster, Sahil Karoul, the Google Pixel 6a will have a box price of Rs 43,999 but the actual cost could be around Rs 37,000 in India. For comparison, the handset costs USD 449 (approx Rs 35,000) in the US.

The Google Pixel 6a sports a 6.1-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a standard 60Hz refresh rate, 20:9 aspect ratio, HDR, always-on display with now playing, and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by the in-house Tensor chipset with 6GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB storage. The phone runs on Android 12 OS out of the box but will receive an Android 13 update later this fall.

Pixel 6a packs a 4306mAh battery with 18W fast charging support and an under-display fingerprint sensor for security. It will be equipped with stereo speakers, a Titan M2 Security chip, dual microphones, and noise impressions. Connectivity options include 5G, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2 LE, GPS, and a USB Type C port.

Pixel 6a features a dual-camera setup on the back, comprising a 12.2MP primary camera and a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens. There is an 8MP snapper on the front for selfies and video chats.
