Pixel 7a and Pixel Fold are expected to debut at the Google I/O 2023 event that is scheduled for May 10th. While we wait for the announcement, the Pixel Fold and Pixel 7a availability and price details have been tipped, courtesy of leakster Yogesh Brar. The Pixel Fold will be the brand’s first foldable and has been a part of the rumour mill for quite some time. On the other hand, the Pixel 7a will arrive as a follow-up to the Pixel 6a. The Pixel Fold will have a design that looks identical to the OPPO Find N2 and this will take on other foldables on the market.

Pixel 7a and Pixel Fold prices (tipped)

According to Yogesh, the Pixel 7a price is said to be in the range of $450 (approx Rs 37,300) and $500 (around Rs 41,400).

The Pixel Fold price is said to be between $1300 (approx Rs 1,07,600) and $1500 (around Rs 1,24,200). This new leak contradicts earlier that said the Pixel Fold would cost around $1800.

Pixel 7a and Pixel Fold availability

Yogesh says the Google Pixel 7a will be available in global markets around early Q3, while the Pixel Fold will be made available in select regions. We hope India is one among them considering the steady rise of the foldable market in the country. According to a recent report, the Pixel Fold is set to go on sale around June 2023. The report claimed the Google Pixel Fold will be priced at around EUR 1,700 (roughly Rs 1,50,000).

Pixel 7a specifications (expected)

Pixel-7a

The Google Pixel 7a will be powered by the Tensor G2 chipset, which is the same chipset that lights the existing Pixel 7 series. The phone will pack 8GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB UFS 3.1 storage that may not be further expandable. The phone is expected to run on Android 13 OS out of the box but should get an Android 14 update when the stable is available.

As for the display, the Pixel 7a is rumoured to ship with a 6.1-inch FHD+ OLED panel with a 90Hz refresh rate, symmetrical bezels and a centre-positioned punch-hole cutout. While the battery capacity details are under wraps, the phone is likely to come with 5W fast charging support.

The Pixel 7a is tipped to come with a 64MP Sony IMX787 sensor and a 12MP secondary sensor. The phone could house a 10.8MP snapper on the front for selfies.

Pixel Fold specifications, features (rumoured)

The Google Pixel Fold is tipped to come with a 7.57-inch foldable main screen, while the outer screen will be a 5.78-inch panel. Much like the Pixel 7a, the Fold may also be powered by the Tensor G2 chipset and pack a 4,700mAh battery. However, the charging speed details are a mystery. The rear horizontal stripe will house triple cameras and an LED flash. Other details of the phone are under wraps, for now.
