Hero Electric has introduced the Hero Eddy low-speed electric scooter aimed at buyers looking for an entry-level electric scooter for short commutes. The Hero Eddy comes from the Indian auto giant, Hero Electric, and is specially tailor-made to cater to the last mile commuters. The Hero Eddy undercuts most other popular electric scooters both in terms of pricing as well as performance. The scooter which is aimed at modern mobility offers new-age features like LED lighting, the Find My Bike feature, an e-lock system, and a reverse mode. The Hero Eddy doesn’t require a Driver’s License or Vehicle Registration as it is a low-speed vehicle.

Hero Eddy price in India 

The Hero Eddy is priced at Rs 72,000 (ex-showroom) before subsidies. It is good to note that the on-road pricing will not inflate too much as the vehicle will not be requiring registration. The Hero Eddy will be available in two colour options – Yellow and Light Blue.

Hero is one of the largest motorcycling brands in the world and its electric division, Hero Electric, has an elaborate portfolio of products. The newest one is the Hero Eddy, a small and lightweight low-speed electric scooter. It is aimed at commuters with short ride distances and is a perfect suit for last-mile commuting. The Hero Eddy hails a compact yet modern design language with minimum frills, one can say it’s a bit functional-looking too. The LED lighting all around accentuates its green credentials.

The Hero Eddy uses a 250W brushless DC motor paired to a 51.2V / 30Ah battery pack to derive power. The Hero Eddy with its humble electric powertrain achieves a top speed of 25kmph and delivers 85km of claimed range on a single charge. A single charge on the Hero Eddy takes around 4 to 5 hours. Other mechanicals includes a telescopic front suspension, front and rear drum brakes, 12-inch alloys wheels wrapped with 90 section tyres both at the front and rear, and a flat footboard. 

The Hero Eddy also ships with cool new features like a digital instrument console, LED lighting, Find My Bike, Follow Me Headlamps, reverse mode, an e-locking system and a USB charging port.
