HMD Global is gearing up to launch a new smartphone in the premium mid-range segment. While we still don’t know the name of the device in question, a tipster has shared some key hardware specifications of the forthcoming device, giving us a rough idea of what to expect.
Moreover, the tipster suggests that the device will be a new version of the Nokia Lumia phone with the classic Lumia Fabula design. Let’s take a look at everything we know about the upcoming HMD smartphone so far.
HMD Global smartphone specifications leaked
As per the tipster Mukul Sharma, the phone’s spec sheet could look like this:
- Display: The device will flaunt an FHD+ AMOLED panel with 120Hz refresh rate support. However, the size of the display is still a mystery.
- Processor: It will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 Soc at the helm. Recently, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 Soc-powered HMD smartphone appeared on the Geekbench platform with codename Tomcat and 8GB RAM. The device scored 965 in the single-core round and 2625 in the multi-core segment.
- Battery and Charging: It will draw power from a 4,900mAh battery with support for 33W charging.
- Cameras: The device will have a dual camera setup at the back, including a 108MP primary and a 2MP secondary sensor. It will feature a 32MP snapper at the front for selfies and video calls.
- OS: The smartphone will run out of the box on the latest Android 14.
Other features: It will also feature dual speakers, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, PureView, and OZO audio.

While not much else is known about this upcoming HMD phone at the moment, the leaked specifications suggest that it will arrive as a premium mid-range offering from the company. And if this is indeed the same device that appeared on the Geekbench platform earlier with the codename Tomcat, the launch of the device is likely around the corner.
