Honda Activa E India launch

Honda will step into the EV scooter segment in India with its most popular model Honda Activa. The Honda Activa E is said to come with battery swapping technology, which will be a convenient option for buyers to replace a discharged battery with a charged battery at swap stations and to charge the battery at home. They would be able to easily swap their dead batteries with charged ones through either a subscription model or a nominal fee. Another benefit can be that the user can also buy backup battery pack that can be charged and replaced when the installed one gets discharged. The model is likely to be similar to Bounce Infinity E1.

The Honda Activa E will compete with the likes of Ola S1, Bajaj Chetak, and Hero Electric NYX HX, among other EVs currently available in the EV scooter market. Speaking of competitors, Hero is all set to debut its new EV scooter next month. Now, sensing an opportunity, Honda could announce its Honda Activa E to give the other automobile giants tough competition.
