“The Honor 20 Pro will be a flagship offering with four rear cameras”
Honor will be introducing its next-gen flagship smartphones, called the Honor 20 and 20 Pro, at an event in London on May 21st. Ahead of the launch, we’ve already seen a handful of press renders as well as hands-on images of the higher-end Honor 20 Pro handset. The leaked photos suggest that the phone will arrive with a quad primary camera setup at the rear. Now, the company’s president Zhao Ming has shared images captured from the Honor 20 Pro to show off the device’s camera prowess. Notably, the EXIF data extracted from the photos has revealed a few details about the handset’s camera specs.
The images captured from the Honor 20 Pro give us an idea what the 48-megapixel primary rear camera of the phone will be capable of. The photos suggest that the phone will be able to capture impressive low-light images. One of the images show off the capabilities of the ultra-wide shooter of the smartphone.
The EXIF data of these images suggest that the main camera of the Honor 20 Pro will flaunt an aperture of f/1.4, which will make it the world’s first smartphone to feature this aperture size. Honor has also confirmed the presence of an AI clarity mode for the impressive low-light photography for the upcoming handset. Thanks to this mode and large aperture, the phone should be capable of capturing more light even in the dark conditions to deliver photos with reduced noise and improved quality. The brand’s executive has also revealed that it has sent the 20 Pro to DxOMark for rating.
According to the earlier reports, the Honor 20 Pro will feature a 6.26-inch IPS display with a small hole in the screen for the 32-megapixel selfie camera. The phone will be powered by a flagship Kirin 980 processor, aided by 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. At the rear, the handset is said to offer a quad camera setup with a 48-megapixel primary sensor paired with a 12-megapixel super wide-angle camera, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro snapper. A 3,750mAh battery is expected to fuel the flagship.
