“The S/SE suffix in a series usually hints at a more handy version of a bigger handset”
The Honor 20 series already has four handsets (counting the Honor 20i) under its belt but it looks like there will be one more member added to the family soon. The Honor 20S was spotted on a Google Play Console listing a couple of days back. From the listing, it seems the handset will be positioned somewhere around the Honor Lite. It’s possible that it could have a more premium processor than the aforementioned smartphones.
Coming to the listing, it reveals the Honor 20S will feature a 6-inch display, although the resolution has not been described. That is also reflected in the S/SE suffix which usually means that the screen of the model will be smaller. Interestingly, the handset is shown to be rocking Android 10.0, meaning this handset could launch after a stable release of Android’s latest operating system. It packs 8GB of RAM, along with 128GB/256GB of built-in storage. In terms of design, we’re only shown the front of the handset, which has a waterdrop notch design.
Leaks originating from China have revealed that the Honor 20S will feature a 4,000mAh battery, along with support for 20W fast charge. Also, the handset could end up with Huawei’s latest mid-range Kirin 810 chipset based on the 7nm process. This will place it above the Honor 20 Lite and Honor 20i in the lineup. The camera details still remain unknown though it is suggested that the rear primary sensor could be a 48MP sensor while the front selfie shooter could be a 32MP shooter. Honor could also label the handset Honor 20 SE but the Google Play listing suggests otherwise.
