Honor has announced a limited-period price drop on the Honor 6X and Honor 8 Pro smartphones in India. The Honor 6X was earlier retailing at a starting price of Rs 11,999, but will now be available starting at Rs 9,999. The Honor 8 Pro was launched for Rs 29,999, but is available with a discount of Rs 4,000, and now retails for Rs 25,999. Both the smartphones are available on Amazon India at reduced pricing from December 12th to December 19th. The brand has also announced that the Honor 7X (review) will be available for its second flash sale in the country soon.
To recap, the Honor 6X (review) is an affordable offering with dual cameras, a premium metal unibody design and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. The phone gets a 12-megapixel primary snapper at the back, coupled with a 2-megapixel secondary shooter, 6P lens and phase detection autofocus. For selfies, it offers an 8-megapixel shooter. The smartphone comes with a 5.5-inch full HD 2.5D curved glass IPS display. The handset is powered by an octa-core Kirin 655 processor, mated to 3GB of RAM. There’s 32GB and 64GB of storage on board, depending on the variant. A 3,340mAh battery with fast charging capabilities completes the list of the specs.
As for the Honor 8 Pro (review), the phone also boasts an all-metal unibody design with dual rear cameras. The device’s dual camera setup includes two 12MP shooters – one RGB and one monochrome. Similar to the Honor 6X, the 8 Pro also gets an 8-megapixel front shooter. The device comes with a 5.7-inch quad-HD display, and boots Android Nougat with EMUI 5.1 on top.
Powering the show is a 2.4GHz octa-core Hi-Silicon Kirin 960 processor, mated to 6GB of RAM. The storage capacity on board is 128GB, further expandable up to 256GB by inserting a microSD card. The connectivity features include 4G LTE, VoLTE, dual-SIM slots, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and A-GPS. A 4,000mAh battery completes the list of the specifications.
