Last December, Honor promised to deliver the Android Nougat update to the Honor 8 smartphone in February 2017. Keeping its word, the company has started rolling out the update to the smartphone. In addition to bringing the new features of Nougat, the update also brings the latest EMUI 5.0 version.
The Android Nougat update for the Honor 8 (review) brings a number of new features, including multi-window support, app drawer via a home screen option, an eye comfort mode and enhanced battery life. EMUI 5.0 promises faster and more optimised performance while also improving battery life.
The update to the Honor 8 is being rolled out in phases, so it may take some time to reach your device.
