“The Honor 9N is one of the most stunning smartphones in its segment”

When Huawei’s sub-brand, Honor launched the Honor 9 Lite in India, it took the smartphone market by storm by offering a beautiful design at an enticing price. But if you think it was a one-time thing, think again. The smartphone brand has recently launched the Honor 9N, which takes the design game to the next level by offering even more eye-catching aesthetics while being priced competitively. In fact, we believe that the 9N manages to live up to its tagline of ”Beauty All Around’. If you wondering how that is, then read on.

While the Honor 9 Lite was keeping up with the trend of 18:9 displays in the phone industry, the new launch brings an even more modern take on the display. That’s because, the Honor 9N is among the very few smartphones in the mid-range to offer a notch display with an aspect ratio of 19:9. The taller aspect ratio means bezels are scant, giving the fascia a sleeker appearance.

Moving to the rear panel, the Honor 9N flaunts a 12-layer nano-scale optical material, which gives it a glossy mirror-like reflection. Due to this, the reflective panel shows different hue depending upon how the light hits it. Additionally, it comes in a slew of attractive hues, including Lavender Purple, Sapphire Blue, Midnight Black and Robin Egg Blue.

The display on the Honor 9N measures 5.84-inches and offers a resolution of 2,280 x 1,080 pixels. There’s also an option to hide the notch if you wish so. However, what makes the handset stand apart is the attention to detail as once the notch is hidden, the display curves on top are symmetrical with the bottom ones. Moreover, the handset flaunts a screen-to-body ratio of 79 percent, which translates into a more immersive viewing experience.

The Honor 9N comes equipped with the HiSilicon Kirin 659 processor at its core. The phone is being offered by the brand in three RAM and storage configurations – 3GB + 32GB, 4GB + 64GB and 4GB + 128GB. The 9N boots EMUI 8.0 interface based on Android 8.0 Oreo and is powered by a 3,000mAh battery.

In the imaging department, the Honor 9N comes with a dual-camera module on the back with a 13-megapixel camera and a 2-megapixel secondary shooter. The module has been equipped with features like Phase Detection Auto Focus and a hardware-assisted Bokeh mode. For selfies and video calling, there’s a 16-megapixel snapper onboard with AI features. The camera app is also loaded with tons of add-on features like Night shot, Panorama, Light painting, Time-lapse, and Pro mode.

Needless to say, the Honor 9N comes across as a smartphone that offers both beauty and brawn at an affordable price. If you are in the market for a smartphone that will get people to notice every time you pull it out of your pocket, you know which way to look. The smartphone is available on Flipkart as well as Honor’s online store and is priced attractively at Rs 11,999 for the base model of 3GB. The 4GB RAM retails at Rs 13,999, while the 6GB RAM variant carries a price tag of Rs 17,999.
