“Honor is expected to introduce the Honor 9X and 9X Pro smartphones at the event”
Honor has been working on the successor to last year’s Honor 8X smartphone for a while. The brand is expected to introduce two new models in the series, namely the Honor 9X and Honor 9X Pro. Recently, the specs sheets of both the handsets were leaked on the interwebs. Today, the company has officially announced that it will be unveiling the Honor 9X and 9X Pro at an event in its home market of China on July 23rd.
Honor hasn’t revealed anything about the features of the Honor 9X and 9X Pro at the moment. However, reports suggest that the Honor 9X will arrive with a screen size ranging from 6.5-inches to 6.7-inches. The phone is said to be powered by Huawei’s recently announced Kirin 810 processor. The handset is tipped to have a 24MP primary camera at the rear, aided by an 8MP super-wide-angle lens and a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies, the smartphone could have a 20MP snapper on the front. The other leaked Honor 9X specs include Android 9 Pie and 3,750mAh battery with 10W fast-charging support.
As for the Honor 9X Pro, it is also expected to offer the same screen size as the Honor 9X. The phone is rumoured to have a 48MP Sony IMX582 camera at the rear, accompanied by an 8MP super-wide-angle shooter, a 2MP lens for macro imaging, and a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies, the smartphone is said to offer a 25MP punch-hole or pop-up camera. Lastly, the reports indicate that the phone could feature a 4,000mAh battery with 20W fast charging support and a 3D glass design.
