“The Magic 2 smartphone has now been confirmed to arrive with triple-rear camera setup”
Honor is all set to launch its flagship smartphone, the Magic 2, on October 31st on its homeland, China. Before that, the company has shared few teaser images of the handset via its official account on Weibo. The images are in line with the earlier leaks, which have already confirmed the triple-rear camera setup on the smartphone.
Starting with the cameras, they’ll be vertically positioned at the top-right corner on the rear panel of the Magic 2. The AI vision branding suggests that the cameras will use artificial intelligence to enhance results. Moreover, the Honor Magic 2 can be seen in two shades: gradient blue and gradient red, and its back panel seems to have a glass layer that could mean wireless charging on the handset. Moving on to the fascia of the device, it will entirely be dominated by the display. While some predicted the screen-to-body aspect ratio to be 100 percent, the images clearly show slight bezels on the sides. It’ll be unfair not to discuss the slider of the device, which seems to house dual front cameras, an earpiece, and proximity sensor.
Coming to the specifications, the Honor Magic 2 is expected to flaunt a 6.39-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of full HD+ (2,340 x 1,080p) and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The phone is likely to rock the latest Kirin 980 SoC under the hood, paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB storage. Camera-wise, the handset is rumoured to get 16MP + 24MP + 16MP sensors on the rear with LED flash and a 16MP sensor on the front with two TOF lenses for 3D face unlock. A 3,400mAh battery is reported to fuel the handset, and on the software front, it is expected to boot Android Pie-based EMUI 9 out of the box.
Other than face unlock, the device may feature an in-display fingerprint sensor. In terms of connectivity, the Magic 2 could include Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 dual-band, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port.
