Huawei sub-brand Honor will officially take the wraps off the Magic 2 smartphone on October 31st. The handset, which was teased at IFA 2018 trade show, is confirmed to arrive with an all-display fascia and a slide-out panel. Now, ahead of its launch, the Honor Magic 2 has been allegedly spotted on TENAA certification website along with its specifications and features.

The TENAA website reveals the Magic 2 smartphone with two model numbers: TNY-AL00 and TNY-TL00. Both the variants are reported to flaunt a 6.39-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of full HD+ (2,340 x 1,080p) and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The handset will arrive with a notch-less display and an impressive screen-to-body ratio. The only notable difference between the two variants are the configurations. The Magic 2’s TNY-AL00 model number is said to employ 6GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB + 256GB storage, while the TNY-TL00 model will get 8GB of RAM and 128GB onboard storage. The phone is expected to be powered by the 7nm HiSilicon Kirin 980 chipset.
For photography, the Honor Magic 2 is tipped to feature a combination of 16MP + 24MP + 16MP camera setup with LED flash on the rear. While, on the front, it’s said to boast of a 16MP shooter with two TOF lens for 3D facial recognition. It was earlier rumoured that the Magic 2’s back panel will house quad cameras, but the certification has proved otherwise.
In addition to face unlock security, the Magic 2 is likely to feature an in-display fingerprint sensor. The handset will reportedly boot the latest Android 9 Pie-based EMUI 9 custom skin out of the box. A 3,400mAh battery with 40W SuperCharge technology is said to fuel the device. In terms of connectivity, the handset is reported to support Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac dual-band, Bluetooth 5.0 Low Energy, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, NFC, and USB Type-C. Lastly, the dimension of the Magic 2 is going to be 157.32 x 75.13 x 8.3mm and the weight 206 grams, as per TENAA.
Unfortunately, the listing hasn’t revealed the price and availability of the Honor Magic 2. However, we wouldn’t have to wait long for that as the launch is just around to corner. In related news, the handset has also been certified by the certification agency, MIIT, but it doesn’t reveal any substantial information.
