Huawei’s sub-brand Honor could be working on a budget smartphone with model numbers MED-AL20 and MOA-AL20 as it received TENAA certification in China. It is believed to be the Honor Play 9A, a potential successor to the Honor Play 8 that was launched in June 2019. The listing reveals the phone’s 6.3-inch display size, a beefy 4,900mAh battery capacity, and 4G LTE connectivity. The Honor Play 9A is likely to boot Android 10 OS with Huawei Mobile Services.

However, Honor Play 9A complete design and specifications have been leaked, courtesy of GSMArena. The renders show the phone will have a waterdrop notch to accommodate the selfie camera and dual rear cameras placed in rectangular housing along with LED flash. The volume rocker and power button are on the right and a physical fingerprint sensor is on the back The Honor Play 9A seems to have a glass-plastic sandwich build with gradient design on the rear. The phone will be available in Green, Blue, and Black colours.

he Honor Play 9A is said to be powered by the MediaTek Helio P35 SoC coupled with 4GB RAM and either 64GB or 128GB storage options. It is tipped to pack a full HD+ panel. In terms of optics, the Honor Play 9A is said to pack a 13MP primary sensor and a 2MP depth sensor for portrait shots. An 8MP snapper on the front for selfies and video chats. There is a fingerprint sensor for security, 10W charging support and Android 10 OS with Magic UI 3.0 custom skin on top.
