“The Honor V10 is scheduled for launch in China on November 28th”
Huawei’s online-only sub-brand, Honor is all set to launch its upcoming V-series smartphone – the Honor V10 at an event in China on September 28th. The handset also got listed on TENAA recently and key specifications of the device were revealed for all to see. Now, we get a look at the handset in real life, thanks to a recent leak.
The new leaked image lines up with what we have already seen in the previous TENAA leaks. By now, we know that the device will flaunt a 5.99-inch, 18:9 display with a resolution of 2,160 x 1,080 pixels. As is clear from the image, it has minimal bezels on the top and bottom of the display, whereas there are next to none on the sides. Honor has already confirmed that the upcoming smartphone will be powered by a Kirin 970 processor mated to 6GB RAM. The Kirin 970 SoC is known for its dedicated NPU (neural processing unit) unit for handling artificial intelligence features. Honor will be offering the handset in two variants – 64GB and 128GB.
In terms of the camera, the device gets dual 16MP + 20MP sensors at the rear and a 13MP shooter on the front. According to the TENAA listing, the smartphone will boot Android 8.0 based EMUI 8.0 out of the box. It will sip power from a beefy 4,000mAh battery, which is expected to come with quick charge support. As of now, this is all that is known about the handset.
Honor is expected to price the device under Rs 30,000 in China. There is no word yet on when the device will be rolled out globally, but the brand also has an event scheduled on December 5th in London. We will bring you more updates whenever they emerge, so stay tuned.
