“The latest update brings SmartCare AI learning, Password Vault, GPU Turbo 2.0 and more to the Honor View 10“
Honor opened the EMUI 9 beta program for nine devices last week and just yesterday added four more smartphones to the list. The Beta list included the Honor Play and Honor V10, which has been launched as View 10 in the country. Today, the handset maker has gone ahead and announced that the Honor View 10 (review) users in India will start receiving the Beta update starting today.
However, the EMUI 9.0 based on Android 9.0 Pie update will only be available to users who had signed up for the Beta testing program. The View 10 beta update comes with a build number BKL-L099.0.0.108(C675E1R1P9-log) and is a 3.92GB file. According to the brand, the latest update brings 12.9 percent performance improvement and 10 percent faster app loading times over EMUI 8. The new update also brings with it the October 2018 security patch and standard Android Pie features.
The all new EMUI 9.0 comes with Natural UX design with integration of nature’s sound and color with natural minimalist style. The update also brings proprietary features from the brand like new SmartCare AI learning, Password Vault, and GPU Turbo 2.0. The GPU Turbo 2.0 brings support for heavy gaming titles like Vainglory, Arena of Valor, Rules of Survival, and NBA 2K18. Also present are the standard Android Pie features like gesture-based navigation, Quick Settings UI overhaul, Redesigned volume slider, Adaptive Battery and more.
Honor has also assured that the EMUI 9.0 will bring local language support, local calendar, and deeper integration of Paytm, among others for Indian users. The brand will also roll out the EMUI 9.0 Beta update to Huawei Mate 10, Mate 10 Pro (in pictures), P20, P20 Pro (review) , Honor 10 (review), and Honor Play (review), in coming days.
