Huawei’s sub-brand Honor has launched the Honor View 30 Pro and Honor 9X Pro smartphones globally. The former is same as the Honor V30 Pro that was launched in China back in November 2019. It ships with the Kirin 990 SoC with Balong 5000 modem for 5G connectivity. On the other hand, the Honor 9X Pro is powered by the Kirin 810 processor with up to 256GB UFS 2.1 storage and has a 48MP primary rear camera. Both the phones come with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security. Notably, these are the first set of Honor phones to launch without Google Play Services. Instead, they will be shipping with Huawei Mobile Services and Huawei AppGallery.

Honor View 30 Pro 5G price and specifications

Honor View 30 Pro 5G flaunts a 6.57-inch full-HD+ display with IPS LCD panel, 2,400 × 1,080 pixels resolution and 91.46 percent screen-to-body ratio. The handset is powered by the Kirin 990 SoC with Balong 5000 modem for 5G connectivity, 8GB RAM and either 128GB or 256GB internal storage. The phone feature a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security. Connectivity features include 5G SA/NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, dual-band WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, NFC, and USB Type-C.

In terms of optics, the Honor View 30 Pro 5G features a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 40MP RYYB primary Sony IMX600 sensor, an 8MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, 5x hybrid zoom and 30x digital zoom, and a 12MP wide-angle lens with 5-axis EIS Cine lens for video. The rear cameras support 4K HDR video recording, 5-axis electronic image stabilisation, Laser Focus Sensor and ultra-low-vision. The Honor View 30 Pro 5G packs dual-selfie snappers with a 32MP primary sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens. A 4,100mAh battery with 40W fast charging, 27W wireless charging, 7.5W wireless reverse charging support fuels the handset.

The Honor View 30 Pro will be available in Ocean Blue, Midnight Black, Icelandic Frost and Sunrise Orange colours. The handset will go on sale starting from Russia in March 2020 and pricing isn’t revealed yet. As mentioned earlier, the Honor View 30 Pro will ship with Huawei Mobile Services, which is a Google Play Service alternative. 

Honor 9X Pro specifications and price

Honor 9X Pro sports a 6.59-inch full HD+ display with 2,340 x 1,080 pixels resolution, 19.5:9 aspect ratio and 2.5D curved glass on top. It is powered by the Kirin 810 AI SoC coupled with ARM Mali-G52 MP6 GPU, 6GB RAM and 256GB storage that is further expandable up to 512GB via microSD card. Much like the Honor View 30, the 9X Pro also ships with Huawei Mobile Services and Huawei AppGallery globally.

In terms of optics, the Honor 9X Pro features a triple camera setup at the back consisting of a 48MP primary sensor, a 2MP depth camera and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens with LED flash. On the front, it has a 16MP pop-up shooter for selfies and video chats. There is a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and face unlock for security. Connectivity features include 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0 LE, GPS + GLONASS, and USB Type-C. The Honor 9X Pro houses a 4,000mAh battery with 10W charging support.

The Honor 9X price is set at EUR 249 (around Rs 19,500) and will be available in France, Germany, the Netherlands, Egypt, KSA and Malaysia from March 2020. The phone will come in Midnight Black and Phantom Purple colour options.
