How to check Jio balance, data usage, and validity online and via call and SMS

“Jio prepaid and postpaid as well as Jio Phone users can check their balance, data usage, and validity online and via SMS and calls”

Jio has become the biggest telecom operator in India in three years thanks to its low-cost, big benefits recharges. Prices of Jio recharges start from as low as just Rs 98 and go up to Rs 2,020. The recharges by the Mukesh Ambani-promoted telco come bundled with benefits such as voice calls, data, and messages, which are all capped. Therefore, it’s very important for you to keep a tab on your usage or else you’ll run out of the benefits in no time. For that, we’ve added a few easy-to-follow steps for Jio prepaid and postpaid customers and Jio Phone subscribers to check their Jio balance, data usage, validity, and more.

How to check Jio balance, data usage, validity, and more:

1. Check Jio balance via MyJio app

Probably the easiest way to check Jio balance. Download MyJio app from the App Store and Google Play Store and complete the registration process using your Jio number. Notably, MyJio app comes pre-loaded with both the Jio Phone models out of the box. Once your account is created, the app will show details of your plan, its expiry date. You will be able to see your 4G data balance right on the home screen of the app, while the talk time balance will be display above it. Clicking on the Jio data balance button will show you the data consumption pattern throughout your usage on the same smartphone.

Furthermore, you can link your secondary Jio, JioFi, and Jio Fiber accounts on the MyJio app to keep a tab on their balance and validity across the board. The app can also be used to purchase recharges; stream music, movies, and shows; and more.

2. Check Jio balance via website

You don’t have to rely only on the MyJio app to check Jio balance. It can also be done through the Jio website. To do so, go to Jio.com, select ‘Mobility‘, and sign in with your number – an OTP will be needed, so keep your phone with Jio SIM around. The follow-up page will show you details of your existing plan, its validity, and remaining data and call benefits. Additionally, you can check the usage of your internet pack, generate a statement, see recharge history, locate your phone, and download Invoice history from the website.

3. Check Jio balance via call

Apart from online methods, users can also check their Jio balance via call. Simply dial Jio’s customer care number 18008899999 or 1991 to learn about your balance, validity, and more. The customer care number can also be used to talk customer care executive to resolve an issue, know more about your plan, and set caller tune, among others.

4. Check Jio balance via SMS

If you wish to know about your Jio balance via SMS, dial 1299 and disconnect the call. The telco will then send the details via text message.
