“The upcoming Huawei device could be the first from the brand to offer dual rear cameras on a tablet”
At this year’s MWC in February in Barcelona, Huawei unveiled its latest tablets called the MediaPad M5 (first impressions) and MediaPad M5 Pro. Now it appears that the company is planning to launch yet another slate in the near future. Ahead of an official announcement, an upcoming Huawei tablet has been spotted on the Federal Communications Commission (FCC)’s website.
The Huawei tablet spotted on the agency’s website is expected to be the Huawei Dtab Compact d-02K. The listing also suggests that the tablet is heading towards the users of Japan’s NTT Docomo telecom operator. The tablet certified by FCC has support for FDD-LTE and W-CDMA bands. The slate also supports dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity options.
Design-wise, the listing suggests that the upcoming Huawei Dtab Compact could be the first tablet from the brand to flaunt a dual-camera setup at the rear. The sketch on FCC also suggests that the slate will boast Harman Kardon-tuned speakers at the bottom, apart from the microphone and a micro-USB port.
Sadly, no other details about the alleged Huawei Dtab Compact tablet have been revealed by FCC. Also, there’s no word when exactly the brand is planning to unveil this tablet, so stay tuned for more updates.
