“The Enjoy 9 smartphone is driven by Snapdragon 450 SoC and flaunts a drop-style notch up front”
Huawei has refreshed its Enjoy series with the launch of Enjoy 9 smartphone in China. The handset is an affordable and toned down version of Enjoy 9 Plus that was announced in the country in October. It comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset, instead of the in-house HiSilicon chipset, and houses a beefy battery. Other highlights of the phone include a dual-rear camera setup, a premium gradient design and the latest waterdrop-style notch display. However, the Enjoy 9 notably misses out on the fingerprint sensor.
Huawei Enjoy 9 specifications, price
Huawei Enjoy 9 flaunts a 6.26-inch IPS display with HD+ (720 x 1,520 pixel) resolution and a tiny U-shaped cutout up top to house selfie camera. The phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 mobile platform mated with two RAM and storage configurations: 3GB + 32GB and 4GB +64GB. A 4,000mAh battery fuels the handset, and on the software front, it boots Android 8.1 Oreo-based EMUI 8.2 custom skin out of the box.
In the camera department, the Huawei Enjoy 9 features an 8-megapixel shooter on the front with f/2.0 aperture lens. The rear camera consists of a 13-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.8 and a 2-megapixel depth sensor with f/2.4. The cameras are mated with LED flash and Huawei’s AI-technology that further boost the results.
The price of Huawei Enjoy 9 hasn’t been revealed yet, but we expect it to be around RMB 1,000 (roughly Rs 10,000). It goes for sale in China on December 12th on the e-commerce site VMall, and potential buyers can pick the device from three gradients Aurora colour options – Blue, Red, and Purple.
