Alleged Huawei foldable PC could launch next week; configurations leaked

Huawei’s first PC running on HarmonyOS which was announced last week, is set to launch in China next week. The brand has not explicitly confirmed the name of the device. However, it is set to be announced alongside the Huawei Nova 14 series and FreeArc open earphones. Now, multiple leaks on Weibo suggest that Huawei is reportedly working a foldable laptop and it could be unveiled later this month. Read on to know the details.

Huawei foldable laptop details surface

A leaker on Weibo (via GizmoChina) claimed that Huawei’s foldable laptop would be called the MateBook Fold Ultimate Design with the model number HPR-W72.
Another image circulating on Weibo reveals the same moniker along with the configuration and colour option.
Huawei’s foldable laptop will reportedly be available with 32GB RAM and 2TB storage and in a forged shadow black finish.

Meanwhile, Huawei also dropped a new teaser today on Weibo with an ‘Ultimate Design’ branding at the back.
It shows a very ultra-thin design and a leather texture finish.
Although the brand does not explicitly reveal more details, the moniker in the leaked image and teaser suggest that Huawei could indeed be preparing to launch a foldable laptop.
As per reliable tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo (via), Huawei’s foldable PC is said to feature a large foldable screen with a built-in large-are linear motor.
It will be equipped with the Kirin X90 processor and can simulate keyboard typing.

We should learn more details about Huawei’s foldable laptop next week. The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold and ASUS ZenBook 17 Fold OLED are the only OEMs to have dual-screen foldable laptops in the market.
