“Honor K2 Kids smartwatch comes with GPS to track kids’ location, voice call and messaging support, and IP67 certification”
Honor has listed a new smartwatch for kids, aptly named the Honor K2 Kids, on its offline e-store in China. The new wearable comes in bright colours – Magic Blue and Sweet Powder (pink) – and has a water- and dust-resistant design. The company has not disclosed the Honor K2 Kids price yet, but interested customers can place a pre-order for the device with an initial deposit of RMB 20 (approximately Rs 200) on Vmall. It will start shipping on December 26th, with price presumably being revealed the same day.
The Honor K2 Kids smartwatch comes with 1.3-inch TFT touch-enabled screen with 240 x 240 pixels resolution. It features 4GB RAM, 16GB flash memory and a nano SIM slot. The straps are made of silicone with a diameter that would go with 110mm to 180mm wrist sizes. The smartwatch is also IP67-certified, which means the kids can wash their hands or go for a bath with the smartwatch.
K2 Kids smartwatch supports voice calling, call recording, SOS emergency call, alarm clock, stopwatch, weather, etc. Apart from that, it also allows you to read SMS and messages. Kids can also start a chat using the smartwatch and add friends and family members. It also helps to keep your kids secure by helping locate kids via GPS. It comes with 600mAh battery that offers a standby time of 7 days and usage time of 2-3 days.
The smartwatch also features a rewards system where parents can issue rewards and kids can be ranked among friends. It is compatible with smartphones running at least Android 4.4 KitKat and above; and for the Apple devices, iOS 9.0 and above are supported.
