“The Mate 20 duo will be the first to come with the next-generation Kirin 980 processor”
Huawei is all set to launch its upcoming flagships — the Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro — on October 16th. Before that, we have already seen a few leaks and renders of the Huawei Mate 20, both of which have revealed the pricing and design of the forthcoming handset. Now, the Mate 20 Pro has been spotted on the popular benchmarking website – Antutu.
The Antutu listing of the smartphone has been spotted with the model number LYA-L29, which is said to be the Mate 20 Pro. The device got a score of 3,13,561, which is surprisingly lower than expected. That’s because the upcoming smartphone is tipped to be the first Android smartphone to come with a 7nm chipset in the form of the HiSilicon Kirin 980 chipset. The processor of the handset is believed to be accompanied by at least 6GB of RAM and 128GB storage. However, the benchmark doesn’t reveal any of these details.
Moving on to the other specs of the handset, Huawei Mate 20 pro is speculated to come with an OLED display with QHD+ resolution. According to the previously leaked renders, the Mate 20 Pro could flaunt a triple-camera setup at the rear. As per the recently-leaked renders, the square-shaped camera module is seen with three sensors and a large LED flash unit. It is being speculated that like other Huawei flagships, Mate 20 Pro will also offer Leica-branded cameras. Considering the fingerprint sensor is nowhere to be seen, it’s believed that the smartphone will either feature a 3D face unlock module of an in-display fingerprint scanner. Other rumoured features include Android 9.0 Pie and waterdrop notch display.
We will bring you more accurate details on October 16th, when the Huawei Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro go official, so stay tuned.
