Huawei Mate 20 Pro is receiving a new OS upgrade, report users. The new update brings face unlock and an optimised camera for better performance. The smartphone was launched back in November with OS build 9.0 out the box and has received a couple of significant updates in terms of software. In addition to the camera optimisation and face unlock, some security issues and bugs have also been resolved.

The triple rear-facing cameras have now got even better with the ability to click images in the Master AI mode, which delivers more natural and more authentic colours in images. The glitch with the camera app, which was preventing the app from launching in certain scenarios and causing discrepancies between previews and snapshots has also been fixed this time. Regarding the security issues, the update brings the Google security patch for December 2018.

This Huawei Mate 20 Pro comes with a beautiful 6.39 inches with a screen resolution of 1,440 X 3,120 pixels. The OLED display is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass. The primary camera is a triple-camera setup of 40MP, 20MP and 8MP with PDAF flash. The front camera is a 24MP snapper.

The smartphone is powered by the homegrown HiSilicon Kirin 980 with two dual-core Cortex A76 processors (2.6GHz + 1.92GHz) and a quad-core Cortex A55 (1.8GHz) processor. It gets Mali-G76 MP10 GPU coupled with a 6GB RAM. In terms of storage, it gets 128GB inbuilt, which is expandable up to 256GB.

The Huawei Mate 20 Pro was launched in Bright Black, Sapphire Blue, Cherry Pink, Emerald Green and Auror colours. However, a new report suggests that the smartphone will also be available in Fragrant Red and Comet Blue colour options from February.
