Huawei MediaPad M5 Lite tablet has been announced in India. The tablet comes with a 10.1-inch full HD display and ships with Kirin 659 SoC coupled with up to 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. However, the tablet runs on dated Android 8.0 Oreo-based on EMUI 8.0 custom skin on top. It has support for Eye-comfort mode, a blue light filter that is said to reduce blue light, making it comfortable to view. The tablet will be exclusively available via Flipkart starting September 29th and is priced at Rs 21,990.

The Huawei MediaPad M5 Lite sports a 10.1-inch full HD display with 1920 x 1200 pixels resolution, and 2.5D curved glass. It is powered by an octa-core Kirin 659 SoC coupled with ARM Mali-T830 MP2 GPU. The tablet comes in two variants; 3GB + 32GB storage and 4GB + 64GB storage that is further expandable up to 512GB. It runs on Android 8.0 Oreo with EMUI 8.0.

In terms of optics, the MediaPad features an 8MP autofocus rear camera with f/2.2 aperture, and on the front, there’s an 8MP selfie snapper with f/2.0 aperture. Connectivity options include optional 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, GPS. The tablet rocks Harman Kardon-certified Stereo speakers and Huawei Histen 3D audio technology. A 7,500mAh battery fuels the tablet. Huawei is offering a free M-Pen lite stylus that comes with 2,048 pressure sensitivity.
