“Multiple variants of Huawei Nova 6 have been spotted on databases, including model numbers WLZ-TL10, WLZ-TL00, WLZ-AL10, WLZ-AL00, WLZ-L29, and WLZ-LX2”
Huawei’s Kirin 990 SoC is the company’s flagship 5G chipset that currently powers the high-end Mate 30 Pro model. Huawei sub-brand Honor is gearing up to unveil the Honor V30 handset next month. Now, another Huawei 5G smartphone with model number WLZ-AN00 has been spotted on the database of China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (CMIIT). It’s possible the handset could be the rumoured Huawei Nova 6 5G and this will have a codename Waltz. Unfortunately, the listing doesn’t reveal any hardware specifications of the phone, but it’s likely to ship with Kirin 990 5G SoC.
Since the Huawei Nova 4 was launched in December last year, there’s a good chance the Nova 6 5G might be announced around the same time this year as well. Moreover, Huawei Nova 6 could have multiple variants as model numbers WLZ-TL10, WLZ-TL00, WLZ-AL10, WLZ-AL00, WLZ-L29, WLZ-LX2, and few others have made an appearance on the Bluetooth SIG database as well. The Nova 6 will likely also come in non-5G editions as well. Since the said launch is still a couple of months away, we should hear more information soon.
Separately, the Honor V30 is confirmed to come with support for Non-Stand Alone (NSA) and Stand Alone (SA) modes. Speculations are rife that there will be two models; Honor V30 and Honor V30 Pro models. The Honor V30 Pro is expected to come with a 60MP camera setup, an OLED 90Hz display with a punch-hole design, and dual-selfie cameras. It could pack a 4,200mAh battery with 40W SuperCharge technology and 15W wireless charging.
On the other hand, the standard Honor V30 is said to come with an IPS LCD display, a punch-hole design which would house a single selfie camera and should be powered by the regular Kirin 990 SoC. It is said to come with triple cameras and pack a 4,000mAh battery with 22.5W SuperCharge technology. As for the prices, the Honor V30 and V30 Pro are rumoured to cost upward of RMB 3,000 (around Rs 30,200).
