“The Huawei Nova 6 5G is the upcoming mid-range offering, said to launch in December”
Huawei will soon refresh the lineup of its Nova-series with an all-new Nova 6 5G. While the exact launch date of the Huawei Nova 6 5G is unknown at the moment, rumours are that it may happen as early as December. However, ahead of that, the render of the phone has been shared with 91mobiles by a trusted source, revealing its design. The Huawei Nova 6 5G will sport a glass sandwich design, with gradient finish, and an-display fascia. Just like the last year’s Nova 4 smartphone, the next-gen Nova series phone also seems to pack a punch-hole display with dual selfie cameras instead of just one. The punch-hole appears to have a pill-shaped form factor, accommodated at the top-left corner of the screen.
The Huawei Nova 6 5G will have minor bezels all around and a small chin at the bottom. On the rear, the handset features a vertically-aligned camera module at the top-left corner. The setup seems to pack triple sensors and LED flash, with ‘AI Camera’ etched beside it. The cameras may be accompanied by a laser autofocus or 3D ToF sensor that can calculate the distance between the phone and object. The resolutions information is unknown at the moment, but we can tell you that the Nova 6 will have a power button and volume rocker on the right spine.
Since there is no visible fingerprint scanner on the phone, it may be on the front underneath the display. Apart from this, you may notice black lines – which could be antennas for 5G connectivity – on the sides as well as the top edge of the Nova 6. The handset will at least have a blue colour option in the lineup.
The Huawei Nova 6 specifications are not known at the moment; however, it has been tipped to come in both 4G and 5G connectivity variants. This could be the first mid-range offering from Huawei to pack a fifth-generation cellular network. The Nova 6 will come as a successor to the Huawei Nova 5 series smartphone from earlier this year.
