“Honor P Smart (2019) is reportedly very similar to the Honor 10 Lite that was recently launched in China”
Huawei is set to launch a new mid-range affordable smartphone, the Huawei P Smart (2019), in the next few weeks and thanks to a slew of leaks, we now know what the device will look like. According to WinFuture.de, the phone is very similar to the recently launched Honor 10 Lite. The renders show a tall bezel-less display along with a small tear-drop notch at the top. On the back, there’s a vertical dual-camera module along with a flash unit and a rear-mounted fingerprint reader.
Huawei P Smart 2019 is reportedly codenamed “Potter” and has a 6.2-inch LCD screen with 1,080 x 2,340 pixel resolution. The screen ratio here is significantly tall — 19.9:9 with a small U-shaped cutout on the top for the usual sensors and the front-facing camera. Going forward the smartphone is powered by Huawei’s in-house Kirin 710 SoC featuring four ARM Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.7GHz and four high-end cores based on the Cortex-A73 architecture clocked at 2.2GHz. The Huawei P Smart (2019) will come with at least 4GB of RAM and 32/64GB of internal storage, which will go higher depending on the variant.
While there no confirmation on the camera specifications, going by the feature set of Honor 10 Lite, the smartphone could debut with a 24MP sensor on the front and 13MP+2MP primary sensor at the back. Battery wise it is expected to come with 3,400mAh pack and be available in Midnight Black and Aurora Blue colour options. It will reportedly run Android 9.0 Pie-based EMUI 9 custom software out of the box.
