Huawei P20 Pro turns up on HTML compliance benchmark, might have an 18.7:9 screen

We already know that Huawei is all set to launch its P-series smartphones theP20, P20 Plus and P20 Pro at MWC 2018 scheduled for next month. We recently saw the detailed schematics of all three handsets with triple camera modules, and the alleged live images of the Huawei P20. Now, a leaked HTML compliance benchmark has appeared on the Internet, which reveals that one of the upcoming handsets will have adisplay aspect ratio of 18:7:9.

The HTML test that was recorded was performed with a mobile browser and revealed that the device hasa resolution of 1,080 x 2,244 pixels. The unusual resolution of the device is indicative of the fact that there will be a notch above the display, which we already know is present on the P20 Pro. The latest leak also revealed that the device bears themodel number EML-AL00 and will come running the latestAndroid Oreo out of the box. However, apart from this, no other information about the device has been revealed.


From the previous reports, we know that the Huawei P20 Pro will be powered by a HiSilicon Kirin 975 processor. The top-tier processor from the brand will have adedicated Neural Processing Unit (NPU), which enables AI integration across the device. It will also be backed by 6GB of RAM and a minimum of 64GB of storage. The brand has also confirmed that the notch on the P20 Pro will house a face scanning technology along with 3D scanning and Animoji support, just like the iPhone X (review).

Apart from the speculated MWC launch, no other details regarding the availability and pricing is known at the moment. 91mobiles will be present on the floor at MWC 2018, and we will bring you the latest developments.
