“While the Huawei P30 Pro is the full-fledged flagship with four cameras and high price, the P30 Lite is the more cost-effective choice”
Huawei has sent out media invites for the launch of its latest lineup of flagship phones, under the P30 lineup. Interestingly, only the Huawei P30 Pro and P30 Lite are being launched in India on April 9th, as the company looks to consolidate its market portfolios by wisely selecting which device would suit which market. While the P30 Pro is the all out flagship featuring four cameras at its rear, the P30 Lite is meant to be a smaller, lighter device that is also easier on the pocket.
Huawei P30 Pro
The Huawei P30 Pro (camera samples) is the most exciting of the two smartphones, which we got to experience at its global unveiling in Paris last month. The smartphone is capable of incredible zoom thanks to its new quad pixel array sensor and the four camera setup. At the heart is a 40MP sensor that has been built collaboratively by Sony and Huawei. The other three modules include a 20MP wide angle camera, an 8MP telephoto camera, and a new, 3D time of flight sensor that will assist in portrait mode photography and add augmented reality abilities to the phone.
Apart from this, the P30 Pro is powered by the Kirin 980 processor, with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, which are modest figures for a flagship phone nowadays. It also gets a 6.47-inch 19.5:9 display with full HD+ resolution, 32MP front camera, 4,200mAh battery and Android 9.0 Pie. Giving Huawei’s pricing trend, we expect the Huawei P30 Pro to nearly touch the Rs 70,000-mark, when it launches on April 9th.
Huawei P30 Lite
The Huawei P30 Lite, as was disclosed before, is essentially a rebranded version of the Huawei Nova 4e. It features the Kirin 710 SoC, along with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. While it gets the same display aspect ratio and screen resolution, the screen size of the P30 Lite is 6.15-inch, which makes it smaller in size, more compact to hold and have better pixel density.
To the rear, it gets a triple camera setup with 24MP + 8MP + 2MP configuration, and to the front is a 32MP front camera. The P30 Lite also runs on Android 9.0 Pie, and features a 3,340mAh battery inside. In terms of pricing, we expect to see the P30 Lite being priced under Rs 30,000.
